Time has truly flown by, and it feels like just yesterday I was announcing the big news. It’s been the most anticipated and special journey, and it’s hard to put into words how much joy I’m feeling as the moment draws nearer.
As we close this beautiful chapter, I wanted to share something incredibly special with you—our little one’s nursery. It’s been a labor of love, filled with thoughtfulness and attention to detail, and it has come together so perfectly in just three weeks. Of course, there’s always something small left to do, but who doesn’t love a project that never truly ends?
Nature Meets Love: Creating a Peaceful Nursery
When I first started planning the room, I knew I wanted to create a space that would be filled with love, tranquility, and a connection to nature. Having grown up surrounded by the beauty of the natural world, it was important to me that my baby would experience that same calming energy. I’m so thankful to Maris Raffa for helping me curate each detail of the room, making sure it captured the essence of what I envisioned.
From the beginning, my goal was to bring the outdoors inside. The wood accents throughout the room, along with plush rabbit toys (a sweet nod to the start of our little family), really help tie everything together. We even received an adorable, super-soft bear from Dior—how special is that?
The crib, one of the most important pieces of the nursery, is being custom-made by one of my favorite Brazilian brands, Trousseau. I couldn’t wait to have everything perfectly designed for baby Coelho, and I’m so excited to share the details with you as we get closer to the big day. Comfort and Connection: A Room to Bond
Another essential element I wanted to incorporate into the room was comfort. As a soon-to-be mom, I know how important those quiet moments of bonding with baby are going to be, so I made sure to choose a super cozy armchair for those late-night feedings and quiet rocking sessions. It’s a place where I can spend hours simply gazing at my little one, and I’m certain it’s going to be one of my favorite spots in the entire house.
Of course, I couldn’t leave out a little touch of personal history in the room. You may already know that I’ve always had a deep love for horses, so naturally, I wanted to bring a horse element into the nursery. Growing up, I spent so much time riding and dreaming of horses, so having this piece of my past in baby Coelho’s space feels like a beautiful full-circle moment. We’re even building a ranch in Brazil, so I’m sure this will be a special symbol for the little one, as he’ll have plenty of time to get acquainted with horses when we visit our future ranch!
The Mystery of Baby Coelho’s Name
Now, the most asked question of all: “What’s baby Coelho’s name?” I know you’re all eagerly awaiting the reveal, but I’ve decided to keep it a surprise until he’s born. Trust me, it’s not to keep you in suspense—it just feels right to wait and share this special moment when he arrives. But here’s a little hint to tide you over: the name is short, and it does contain the letter “A.” Any guesses?
