I can’t believe how quickly the weeks are flying by! I recently hit 27 weeks of pregnancy, and with each passing day, the excitement grows as we edge closer to meeting our long-awaited little one. The anticipation is building, and I’m feeling more and more ready for the big day!
In today’s episode of the Pregnancy Series, we’re keeping things light and fun with another challenge between Icaro and me. If you’ve been following along, you already know how much we love a little friendly competition. So, we couldn’t resist another round of games to add some fun to the pregnancy journey.
The Competitive Spirit Is Strong!
If you’ve seen any of the previous episodes, you know that Icaro and I are very competitive (to put it mildly!). We’re both all in when it comes to games and challenges, and we definitely don’t hold back. So for this round, we decided to play a game called “Pie in the Face,” and let me tell you—it got messy, but also hilarious!
Here’s how it works: we were each asked a series of questions about motherhood, baby care, and pregnancy. The rules were simple: the first one to ring the bell gets a chance to answer. If the answer is correct, they get to splatter the other person with a pie to the face! It’s all in good fun, and honestly, I think we both got a little too into it. The game turned out to be a hilarious, messy experience that we’ll definitely never forget.
The Questions
The questions were a mix of baby-related facts that we both needed to know. Some were easy, some a little tricky, but all were about helping us learn more about caring for our little one. Here’s a sneak peek at some of the questions we answered (or attempted to answer!):
- At how many months is a baby able to sit up?
- What is the safest position for the baby to sleep until one year old?
- At how many months does a baby begin to make happy sounds?
- Can a newborn baby drink water?
- True or False: Babies can see clearly right after birth?
- True or False: A newborn baby cries without tears?
- What’s one essential item you need in the maternity unit that starts with the letter “D”?
- Can a baby feed and breathe at the same time?
Some of these were easy to answer, but others? Well, let’s just say we had to really think hard about them. The truth is, it’s a great way to get both of us thinking about what’s coming up in the world of parenting. Plus, it made for some pretty funny moments as we tried to outsmart each other—while dodging pies at the same time!
The Results
So, who do you think came out on top in this challenge? I’m not going to spoil it for you, but let’s just say there were definitely some hilarious moments—and a lot of whipped cream flying around! As always, I loved how the game brought us together in a lighthearted way, especially as we both navigate this huge life change. There’s so much to learn about being parents, and honestly, I’m so glad we can share these moments with all of you.
